Importance of breakfast

Postby twinkle » Tue Feb 27, 2007 6:02 pm

hi just wanted to know how important breafast is in order for the human body to function optimally.

my brother and i had a very heated debate with my dad about this. He expressed an opinion that it is beneficial to skip breakfast, this includes tea, milk etc, and only have your fisrt form of nutrition after 1pm....

can someone pls pls pls provide a biological viewpoint as well as any emperical evidence availabe

thanks so much

I always heard to start with big breakfast and then each following meal would be less then the one before.

well any big meal would divert your blood to the digestive tract...schools in america are experimenting with free breakfast because they think it helps students.

Have you breakfast but do not take too much. Protein and fruit is said much better than carbohydrate for breakfast.
