I DON'T REALLY KNOW IF AM RIGHT,I DID A RESEARCH AND I DISCOVER THAT THE NEAR POSIBLE SOLUTION TO DIBETIES IS THE REPLACEMENT OF PANCRAES. IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRANSPLANT THE PANCRAES.

I don't think that pancreas transplantation is possible. As we know, this gland is amorphous, and it relates to digestive system to secrete some enzymes and endocrine system to maintain blood glucose level. We have to deal with a lot of capillaries and its delicate connective tissues. It is not easy at all

Transplantation itself wouldn't change the attack on islet cells by the immune system (Type I diabetes) anyway - the only difference is that the immunosuppressants you'd be on for the transplants would prevent that. It's ultimately what will keep stem cells from working, too.

But then, immunosuppressants (without the transplant) in theory would stop the progression of Type I anyway. Not worth the downside, I guess.

hi there.

the transplant of pancreas or of beta cells it is not solution for people with diabetes type 1- because of the immunosuppressants someone said about.

i hope that nobody here will mind if i post the address of the forum i made for my daughter who is type one. http://diabet.jconserv.net. it is a forum in romanian languagebut it has a section for people who don't speak romanian but speak english.

i am very new on this forum- i joined today.
and i posted a question here, but in another forum, exactly because of the diabetes: how does a bee function? does it have a glandular system? cause i know there is no pancreas... but a hepato-pancreatic system?

I have a questions about Diabettus insipid. There is a friend of mine on 30's and she was a heavy smoker. Does the smoke involves on the Diabettus insipid. She suffer also from asthma/

Diabetes insipidus isn't a pancreas problem, it's a pituitary / hypophysis problem.

what is the mechanism of this problem. My friends need a lot of water to dring let say 10 kg drinking water and she can urinate out the same. She is using Desmopresin on highest dosage....?
