Mn2+ precippitation in culture medium

Hi

I have some problems when I add Mn2+ to my culture medium in order to activate integrins. The manganese ions apparently precipitates with other ions in the medium. I have tried both MEM, DMEM and Glutamax medium, and I have also tried to add hepes buffer to overcome the problem.
I'm wondering if it is a common problem and if there is a solution to the problem. The MnCl2 that I use is quiet old - it could maybe cause the precipitation.

I would try to use a fresh solution. See how this works.
