bio experimentshi i have to write a 4000 word essay in biology by doing research and experiments.it could be on anything but shouldnt be simple bio lab but a slightly complex interesting exp. do you guys know of any interesting topics that i could do research or experiments on. maybe bacteria, plants or any ecology thing. i have to hand in a topic and collect raw and secondary data over the summer. i would really appreciate it if u help me.

Drosophila melanogaster is an option. I would do something with plants if i were you(but of course i am planty guy)-like testing the effects of cigarette smoke on plants. Hey, that's a great idea, i might actually do the experiment

thanks for the help do you guys know how i could study a certain 37 acre nature park near my home that has been converted from a huge garbage dump into a lush green area. 80 different species of birds 38 species of butterflies exist there. I m mainly thinking of ecology here. maybe experiments on soil samples, certain gas emissions, water utility, pestcides. any other biologival variables u could suggest? thanks

lichenshi.. I did an experiment using lichens as air-cleanness indicators.. maybe that will help
