Which area in biological study is more favored by industry?

I wonder which field in biological research most likely prepare a researcher for the recruitment in an R&D division in a certain multinational big company,like P&G.

What about cell research?
Or the recombinant protein research using molecular biology methods?

Some people tell me that to learn the monoclone antibody techneque is good! And some tell me that to learn biology can not guarantee a good job unless you turn to the engineering field like chemical engineering or bioengineering.

So I now want to turn my direction to engineering in biological environment. Maybe a PHD place researching bioengineering is good for my future career life in a company!

There is another field - seems very perspective - it 's nanotechnology. This is not only biolgy, may besometimes more physiks but I know one student that go to this field after he had finishing BSa degree on biology...
Recombinant technologies applied for biotechnology - seems good for working at the big company...

I think the biological engineering study is always for food & drug production in big companies, it was my major in undergraduate school.(and it could include molecular biology )

the pharmaceutical biotechnology is getting interesting --> there's a major nee din gene therapy development.

--> of course the molecular and cell biology are very important in the fundamental research by looking for interesting drug targets. (well that will probably my master programme)
