Smart Comments

Postby Vibrio on Sat Dec 23, 2006 6:35 pm

I have noticed a few times that some people make what I call "smart commens" to other people's posts. Some of these I take as a bit offensive. These would include rolling eyes, implying stupidity etc. Now, I know I don't own the site or anything, but I just wanted to point it out and ask as a favor if everyone could try not to do that. Maybe the people who do it are only kidding, but then I think it would be polite to say "jk". I sometimes feel a little irritated and offended by it and maybe others do too.

Please don't take this the wrong way. I am not blaming anyone, pointing fingers, or trying to make anyone feel bad. I am only asking of a favor.

I will try my best to do this as well.

Thanks :D

Ok, I was one of them, so what? Are you irritated by my roll thing? :P  JK

It would be nice for you and other people not to be so sensitive, or getting emotional, to respond others posts. As you see, all we can do is just writing. We cannot show our expression, we cannot hear proper intonation, also we come from different country with different culture, where something common in somewhere can be so rude to another. All we need here is understanding and tolerance, avoid emotion, as I see most of you are young and growing-up smart guys. I believe you can manage your feeling well ;)

I totally agree.... !! (especially with the "different culture" part)... also, there are folks that visit this site that do not 'speak/write' english really well ... and sometimes they may come-across as being rude. but I don't think it's intentional...its just that they are probably in the process of builiding their vocabulary ...

(gosh, I wish I could speak/write in another language!)
