I think they are all important. You can't label one as being more important than any other.
No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong.
-Albert Einstein
You are right, thank-darwin. But we were all taking a guess about what that professor said
"As a biologist, I firmly believe that when you're dead, you're dead. Except for what you live behind in history. That's the only afterlife" - J. Craig Venter
I think the distingusihing characteristic that seperates science from other forms of beliefs, say astrology and alchemy, is objectivity. I agree that complete objectivity is impossible in humans. Nevertheless, one must examine subjective views and prevent them from interfering with the gathering and interpretation of data, ensuring that bias is controlled, accurate and precise data are taken and verification and/or testability applied to hypotheses, to square up to reality as far as possible.
Ideology...is indispensable in any society if men are to be formed, transformed and equipped to respond to the demands of their conditions of existence. -- Louis Althusser, For Marx
Curiosity.I think the most important for scientists is curiosity to invent something new. I think it that way because curiosity motivate scientists to go to new experiment till they invent new theory..
Science development always move, they never stop....um, maybe I can think that's because of our scientists' curiosity.
First, i think that interest is come first than any characteristic. Before we do anything, we must interest in the subject. And second the curiosity. I think curiosity is important in science. And other can be sub-characteristic for the scientist.
