Body odor can be affected by food intake too.

MHC most dissimilar is preferred, because the more different varieties of alleles present makes the offspring less susceptible to many more kinds of diseases, therefore more an overall more fit organism. The women are attracted to the smell of ppl with MHC most different to them. This also helps toavoid inbreeding.

While a female is pregnant, or on the pill!! this becomes REVERSED, she prefers the smell of those with similar MHC to hers, because this is a time when she needs the support of family perhaps and she is not interested in finding a mate at this stage. Perhaps this explains why perhaps when couples decide to have children and she goes off the pill, she aint so into him anymore? lol who knowsssss anthing is pooooosible

This is interesting. I am into a girl right now who I think is cute but two of my friends think is ugly. She is also sweet, caring and fun-loving, which might cause me to "look past" her supposed ugliness.
It is naive to think that the whole universe must conform to the sciences devised by the inhabitants of a single planet.

yeah the pheromone thing is only related to immunocompatibility and the increase survival chance for the offspring. It has nothing to do whether the two people's personalities, looks and preferences are compatible. Basically a super model can be immunocompatible to a short, abusive, and angry man.

Your best bet is look into the neurological pathways that are involved when you love someone. thats probably worth more to look into.
