Beginning of life in earth

I was wondering that we use the biogenesis theory which say :"Omne vivum ex vivo" and "Omne ovum ex ovo". On the secon thought, I think that Stanley miller and Harold urey's experiment proved that their experiment is going to support Abiogenesis theory. Actually, I agree with their explanations about the first macromolecule in this world which is amino-acid. But this process happened in the abiotic system whics is in the skies...Which theory that we have to support now? is it biogenesis theory? or Abiogenesis theory?

Oh, sorry...I forgot to explain it.....According to Stanley Miller and Harold Urey's experiment, They conclude that Methan (CH4), Water(H2O), Carbon Dioxyde (CO2) and Hydrogene(H2) formed together and become a macromolecule by the lightning power in the atmosphere, when they come to earth, some of them fall in the ocean or on the earth. My question is, This process happens abiotically and it means that the beginning of life were abiotic? How about your opinion?

As a simple explanation, living things came from non-livings. You can see this in any of the organisms. Organic compounds, which are the main compounds of living things, are basicly made of atoms. And no need to say that atoms are non-living.

Ever heard bout the PANSPERMIA theory proposed by Chandra Wickramsinghe and Sir Ediington?
It says life was "seeded" on earth from outside by meteorites and comets.
The gas nebulae have been found to be rich in the stuff that life is made of - methane, H2 and other carbon compounds.
This theory proposes that meteors posses the requisites for life and seeded them onto earth (and perhaps many other planets

) early when the earth was young.

Tha idea of extraterrestrial origin of life on earth is very interesting. And I think is very possible. But I also agree with MrMistery that is likely we will never know how the life begin. And they are several upgrades of that theory. The most interesting is that in meteorites or comets can be found bacteria or their spores or some viruses and that thay float trough space and place "seeds" of life on many planets. Some even explains the periods of great and fast speciation by introduction of new genes from space by nearby passing comets wich have orbit around sun.

And their is always possibility that aliens wich lended on Earth about 2 billion years ago left some of their microbs in our atmosphere and that they evolved. That would mean that we are noting more than alien flu. :shock:

Interesting thought?

Do you think that in that way we can some day (when we find out how to space travel) initiate life and evolution on some other planet???

Have you ever wondered how many theories are there for the beginning of life? More than 100. While only one is true, they are all POSSIBLE. So it would be really hard for us to find in the future a planet that could sustain life and where none of those 100 processes happened.
Just a thought...

Well, actually, thinking and discussing about the beginning of life in earth is a neverending story because it's still a controversial discussion. But I like to discuss about this..Oh, almost forgot...talking 'bout the beginning of life in earth, we also talk about an endosymbiotic theory which says that an Eucariotic cells (have mythocondrion) were formed from two or more procariotic cells when the bigger cells "eat" the smaller cells but the cytoplasm of the bigger cells can't hydrolysed the organels of the smaller cells. And at last they formed new eucariotic cells. My question is, is there any possibility to form a new cell in this time?
