Does anyone know the methodolgy of how the foreign genes (2 from daffodil, 1 from baterium) are inserted into the rice to produce the modified organism-Golden Rice?

if i'm not wrong, it has to do with the gene gun. It's an apparatus tat shoots inert gold particles into the rice plant cell. The gold particle is actually coated with DNA of the gene of interest. correct me if i'm wrong!

So after the gold pallets have been shot, some of the rice cells take up that DNA. These cells are then extracted and cultured to produce a GM rice - Golden Rice.
Is this right?
