Fiber DiseaseI'm concerned about what Fiber Disease is all about. My cats end up loosing most of their cat hair. I thought it was some type of ring worm problem on their skins and end up using foot cream on them to rid of the problem but that didn't work, then used a med. shampoo for kittens that have skin problems and it took a long time for it to clear up. Still some of the hair is gone on some of the cats but they went through itching problems real bad. Including my cats that weren't exposed to other cats that have the same problem. I thoough I caught whatever they had, but it was weard. My hands itched, and feet itched and I end up with weard sores under my arms. I kept using foot fungus cream on all the sores and included allergy pills on a daily basis to help control any inflamations and outbreaks. But It feels like micro bugs under my skin at times or some type of fiber glass itching problems at different parts of my body. Felt like some type of heat rash / fiber glass/ irration type of skin problem and it takes a long time to recover. It now comes and goes. I have to continue to use hydrocordosesone creams and the like to control some it of it. and use ice to dense the itching redness. Seems worse during humid weather days. I live in AZ and it does get very hot. Is this the trigger? What is going on. This is new to me and my family!
1- see a vet for your cats
2- se a doctor for you (not necessarily in that order) before you start to worry aboout the fiber disease. Patrick

Sound like mange. I do not know if people can get it though.
Will need to see a doctor soon. Fiber Disease?Your right, I better go see a doctor.I've had this itching for about two months now, hoping it would go away, but it hasn't. I'm not seeing any ringworm type of sores on me at all, but the itching is unreal. The kittens seem to have recovered with the med. shampoo I've used on them, but the hair hasn't all grown back yet. But they are doing much better. I just hope it deosn't come back again. My other cat gave birth to 7 kittens 4 days ago and they seem to be okay so far. I will have to keep a close eye on them. Where I live, we don't get much funding help when it comes to animal care and its very expensive especially when you have many animals that need treatment. No organizations to help with funding animal care available here in my area. I wish there was. So I could get all my kittens treated. They are just so little and very sweet and helpless.
I don't really garden, but I have been watering my parents orange trees, but I don't touch the trees at all, just water them. I've been around orange trees and the like all my life, but this itching is all new to me. Tonight I'm going through a real rough time from itching. My skin doesn't show any sores or anything yet, but I do keep from itching it, for I'm afraid of causing damage to my skin. Sometime I smack insteac of itch the skin, then apply ice. It helps sometimes. I'm just afraid that the doctor won't see any physical evidience of my itching, but it does exist. and its hard to sleep with all this insane earge to itch.
WEll then it seems that it definitely has no link with the fiber disease that cause nasty looking sores. As for treating this cannot be done through internet, and I can just wish you will find a doctor that will listen to you.
