What is rarerWhat is rarer considering population. I am taking a poll to see what people beleive is the rarest cat. I already know but i want to see what the general consensus is. So vote. I'll post the rareness later.

I'm guessing that cheetahs are probably the rarest because of their extremity in genetic diversity and high infant mortality rates. Leopards are pretty rare too- cloud leopards especially.

hmm.Cheetahs i will give you are pretty rare but there is something even more rare. In the wild at least. People do generally beleive cheetahs are the rarest hence the reason i wanted to conduct this poll was to see whether people had misconceptions.

rarest of allrarest of all is not a cheetah because for the sole fact that they are in zoos every where. The rarest cat is the jaguar. Not too many are known to exist. THis may have to do with its habitat and that not all of them are counted however as of today the Jaguar has the fewest.

Do you have the stats for this jaguar count? It would be interesting to know the count of each of the species on the extinction list.
