Importance of informatics in biochemistryIn the book "Principles of Genetics" by Snustad and Simmons( great book, highly recommended), they have an interview with a guy called Crow, some really old expert and pioneer of Genetics, who mentions informatics as one of the things that up and coming geneticists should study.
I guess his recommendation can also be expanded to biochemistry in general and my question is, what exactly is the role of informatics in biochemistry and what can I study as somebody who does not specialize explicity in bioinformatics.
