of course jelly fish are animals. do you really think that scientists have gotten that wrong all this time and that they really are plants. i doubt really doubt that

Jellyfishes are animals, but they can have a simbiotic relationship with different kinds of algaes.

This made me giggle a little bit.. I just finished a exam with the question of whether a jellyfish is a plant or animal, and why it would burst in fresh water...
And yes, jellyfish are homosexual beasts.

How much do you understand about osmosis? That will lead to the second answer.

Jellyfish don't photosynthesize, don't have cell walls, and digest food internally - that's enough to differentiate them from the other multicellular groups, the plants and the fungi.
