Ligers and Tigons oh my!Moderator: BioTeam I didn't know that either. I thought they only first interbred lions and tigers about 2 years ago. Shows how out of date I am.
Play with yourselves, play with other people, just don't play with squirells. They bite!

MODERATING NOTE:
Did some cleansing, tried not to remove any interesting info, but it can make some remarks on what was clearly off-topic anyway quite mysterious Sorry for the inconvenience. Patrick
Science has proof without any certainty. Creationists have certainty without any proof. (Ashley Montague)
ligers and tigons are the most rarest and most beautiful creation that has been made
ah so Canalon strikes again. LOl, Jking. But on a serious note a tiger heart goes on the black market for 7-12 thousand for half a hear. It's used in chinses medicine and I saw it down in chinatown NYC.

-deb- what are you drwing? -napoleon- it's a liger -deb- what's a liger? -napoleon- it's a cross between a lion and a tiger. its pretty much my favorite animal... bred for it's skills in magic.
I know ligers and tigons can reproduce, but are their offspring fertile?
Man in civilization surveys the creature through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. - Henry Benson
they probably can reproduce but mating them is illegal and an addition the death rate is very high so "owners" tend to lose a lot of money when making tigons and ligers and even more so for li-ligers. So it doesn't make too much sense to mate them.
