Examples of particulate inheritance?

I have had trouble distinguishin the real meaning of this, (i apologize for my limited understandings), can anyone give me some examples of this? I heard that tongue-rolling, flower cloour in sweet peas and black sheeps r examples of this, but wat else?

they are simple gene combinations between dominant and recessive genes
for example tongue rolling is one, being able to roll your tongue is dominant while not being able to is recessive
Let 'U' be the dominant trait and 'u' be recessive
then its a simple cross between parents for possible genotypes
like UU x uu
that would give all children Uu therefore tongue rolling
