Can't digest this fact.

Some of my friends say that digection includes metabolism - they mean what does happen in tract is metabolism,
I disagree, this i've mentioned in Mb-guous Mcqs post . Please help me get it clear.

Isn't the process of cellular respiration also using the food?

In cellular respiration you gain ATP. Isn't ATP a difference?

Good question , first of all.
Digestion is extracellular while metabolism is intra.
