Yeast: alpha 2 regulator in haploid and diploid cellsHi. I'm at a complete loss on these questions.
1) WHAT ARE THE FUNCTIONS, (AND WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE ILLUSTRATIVELY) OF THE ALPHA 2 REGULATOR IN HAPLOID AND DIPLOID CELLS? 2) DOES a1 CATALYZE A COVALENT MODIFICTION OF ALPHA 2 OR DOES IT MODIFY ALPHA 2 BY BINDING OF a1 AND ALPHA 2 ALONE OR TOGETHER, TO THE UPASTREAM REGULATORY SITES OF HAPLOID-SPECIFIC AND A-SPECIFIC GENE FRAGMENTS? -P.S. Sorry for the caps on the questions, I didn't realize till after finished typing that the button was on! Thanks, KTK
