pros and cons of selective breeding in plants

im writing a paper selective breeding in plants and animals. i have to list the pros and cons for a debate, but i cant seem to find many pros or cons for selective breeding- could someone please help! thanks

How about if the plant seleted can "breed" true
or not by seed.
That is something that happens with hybrids.

The pros should be pretty obvious, I mean what are the breeding the plant for right?
And you don't necessarily have to list many different types of pro/cons. It's important that you explain each and give specific and enough examples to prove your point.

pro - get all the desirable quality- bigger fruit, more resistant to diseases, more productive

con - loss of some indigenous species, limited genetic diversity causing possible extinction
