I think the ancient Greeks thought that women were women and men where men because men were hotter than women, if a women was hot then it would kill a baby if she were to carry one. They thought that the gentiles were the same just in women they were inside and men's were outside. They also thought there were women who were hotter than males, and so they acted like males, that's how they explained it.
When a croc's eggs are warmer they are males and cooler they are females (and in between is mixed) Also, when they are really warm they are females that are aggressive like males.

Actually ozge i don't know how to explain the thing about crocodiles, but i saw it on the discovery channel a while back. i did some research and came up empty.

Actually, I don't think that is true. I mean, an athletic woman would ceratinly be more well-built than a small guy of the same age. It's not the gender, but the work-out that makes the difference. In school, we had this lesson which said that male requirement for food is more than that of a woman. My teacher asked us to strike it out as she said it's not applicable to modern times. Probably back in the days of yore, when men went out to work in field and women stayed back home to cook. Nowadays, I'd say Sania Mirza(Tennis Player) and Karnam Malleshwari (Woman Heavy-weight Champion) would certainly be more muscular than you or me. Well, so I say, men needn't NECCESSARILY have more muscle mass than women.
Atleast I hope I'm right.

I've a question... does fat accumulate due to geneic reasons... I mean, if the Mother and Father are overweight... does the child neccessarily HAVE to be overweight too???
I eman, leading a normal life, without too much of sports activity, can the child overcome obesity???

mmm, well during the dark ages there was a strange belief that if a child was conceived in cold and poor conditions you would have a female child, and if concieved in warm and hospitable places then you would hve a man
and if a woman became hot she would turn into a man, i dont think many beleived this though

my opinion of this is that its absolute rubbish!
tempature is dependanp upon multiple factors, mainly the indiviuals health, and the environment that they stay in, after all its safe to say that some1 in Russia is colder than some1 in florida

That's why I said "generally". I was talking about a man and a woman who are in the same conditions.

About the difference in muscle math. Biologically speaking, it is true. Testosterone stimulates proteic synthesis more than estradiol.

About the genetic inheritance of fat: while genes do influence the rate of your metabolism, other factors such as your diet and the amount of physical exercise you do have a bigger influence on your weight and amount of fat.

What i was saying was that although not sure how, i tend to believe there is some truth behind these afirmations, as people on the discovery channel don't usually say false things. And I have heard it from a few different sources...
