mutation...this is my question
why mutation is the only way to producing new alleles?
Because there is no other way...

Re: new alleles
Can you think about another way? I mean lets say in human. If you have any idea about another way we would like to discuss. It matters not how strait the gate

Doesn't seem likely to happen but may be that can be a way. But also think that gametes are moved from the body periodically. And which genome of the DNA the viruii infected is also important. There is a chance that the zygote can not carry on dividing after fertilization. Am I wrong? It matters not how strait the gate

Seems logic enough to me...
