Body's electrical currentHi, I don't really know much about the human body except for what I learnt in school. I know that the body has a natural electrical current, but I was wondering just how high this current is, and can be. Is it possible for the body's electrical current to interfere with electrical devices around us such as light switches, clocks, televisions, radios etc, and if so to what extent?
The current is due to ion flow from inside to outside and vice versa in the neurones. Magnitude of max. P.D. is 70mV [ i think]. Considerably large magnetism produced by our brain and nerves,especially when we are asleep [ why? i think many nerves r active when we are asleep. And lot of energy is available to them. But this is unusual kind of fact... i'm searching for the answer.] That's why magnetism therapy works.
BlackenedSky- it possible for the body's electrical current to interfere with electrical devices around us such as light switches, clocks, televisions, radios etc, and if so to what extent? Its more imp to know it these electical devices interfere with us
Thanks for your reply, but I am curious about how we can effect electricity around us, as for some reason many televisions/radios will break up when I pass near them but does not happen for anyone else, and other times a light will flicker as I walk past a lightswitch; the snooze function is activiated on my clock thus lighting up the display just by placing my hand near the button too, and all sorts of other odd things happen. I was wondering then if it is possible that either the body could have such a high electrical current for this to happen, or if it would be down to large quantities of static electricity building up that are causing such things (quite often I will also get static shocks from the strangest of objects so I am guessing it is just a buildup of static that is affecting switches etc?).
Oh u r really an electricboy/girl! Its a rare inheritance i suppose.
In my house radio functioning is many atimes affected due to human presence I get shocks from microphones. Charged particle in motion leads to magnetic field and that might be the factor. Its so easy to just tell u: For the magnitudes of ur own human-charge u can measure the deflection in a magnet of known intensity while u move with a known relative velocity. Then get the magnitude of the field produced and then from that u can get the charge. Good luck! I'm curious too. Shrei
Too much hassle and not enough equipment lol. I don't even think I have any magnets lying around, let alone anything to measure the magnetic field with! But basicalyl what you're saying is that the more you move around the greater the magnetic field produced by your body will be, right?
Not to say you're fat or anything, is it possible that the radiowaves are blocked by your body or by things such as walls? Living one day at a time;

Do you use fabric softener? do you wear long-sleave pajamas? Do you wear insulated rubber-heeled shoes? Is it possible that the static electricity in your clothing is contributing to this phenomenon?
Does this only happen in your house? Is it possible that your houses electrical wiring is a little over or undercharged, causing your electronics to be a bit touchy? Our bodies do have electric charges, but I don't think that most would have enough of a static field to exert enough energy to turn on the snooze button...? Pickles have electric charges, but I dont' see them interfering with my electronic devices. What did the parasitic Candiru fish say when it finally found a host? - - "Urethra!!"
I have this problem tooI jokingly call myself electricity girl, but am doing a search on the web today to see if there is anyone else out there that has this problem and am happy to know I'm not alone.
I cause interference with things I pass, blow light bulbs when I touch them (and some are actually brand new) and shock people and myself all the time, and they are hurtful shocks, not the cute little static electricity ones. I notice if I'm outside this doesn't happen during certain types of weather (ie if it's raining then I don't tend to shock or blow anything) and it happens no matter WHAT clothing I wear, and I'm not fat. I can also, if I'm paying attention, "feel" if somethings going to blow when I touch it. I've also blown bigger things like the screen on my laptop..actually the whole laptop was fried. Anyone know what might be causing this? I'm noticing it's getting worse the older I get. And I'm very techie so I blow a lot hard drives when I'm putting new ones in my PCs. I'd like to know what's causing it myself. I don't wanna blow my game consoles or something like that, lol. Also avid gamer girl here.
Hi! This is Colleen I worked with Dr. Schwartz..We have both contracted this...YES!!! It is more than possible to effect things in a very magnetic way!!! I personaly believe Dr. Schwartz owes tam tam a huge apology!!! This is bigger than many will accept. As for the magnetic part..we all give off an electrical charge to begin with...dont forget about the poles on the very planet that we reside on. Your great grandmother may have driven a rusty nail next to her favorite flowers, believing that the roots ate the rust or something of that nature. When in fact the nail itself drew magnetic energy, and made the flowers grow much better. I myself after a long month of being very magnetic can finally wear my hair down once again. How? Believing in all of our patients, and also believing in the very planet that we live on. I myself was never taken to the DR. as a child. We depended on the herbs, and the wisdom from the old ones. I was raised on a indian reservation. Believe me I have been more than miserable.. I am a parent of 9, gave birth to 6 of the children, and now have my first grandchild--only seven months old! Dr. Schwartz ,if anything now believes.....I cannot say what he really thought to begin with. I have followed the genetic B.S.! Did you know that scientists had to admit that their first mistake or accident that was released was in 1918? Nuff for now...My 4 year old calls...Colleen
shockedI was researching the naturally occuring electricity in the human body and found this site... I myself have had strange things happen to electrical devices whenever I'm around. I've blown up computers, vacuum cleaners, hair dryers and I've killed more watch and cell phone batteries than I care to think about. My brother hooked me up to his OHM meter one day and said I was putting out a half a volt of electricity while resting. Can a person put off that much electricity? Also this gets worse when I'm upset...
Generally I'd view all paranormal phenomena with a grain of salt(healthy skepticism)
