It makes sense that a "truly black" flower might not exist in nature, just for the sole reason that it would mean that this flower relfects no light in optical wavelengths, but rather absorbed everything. I suppose if it reflected in UV bees might still be able to see it... But yes, I agree with the previous comment, it would not be beneficial from an evolutionary perspective. Also, strictly speaking, black isn't a color. Good luck with the school project!
as far as producing a true black hybrid
it is getting very close! Tthere are species that have the genetic trait toward black. there is an echinacea hybrid that is really black not just purple-black.
