Not a zoology question, but interesting: cameleonIf you put a cameleon in a room full of mirrors, what color will it turn?
"I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. I want to understand the universe and answer the big questions, that is what keeps me going" - Stephen Hawking
Chameleons rarely change color to match their surroundings (if ever). The color of a chameleon depends on things like mood and temperature. If the chameleon is a male and thought he was surrounded by other males he would probably change his color to display aggression.
Easier said than done. I don't exactly live in cameleon country

Never heard of this creature. But i am not an expert in local wildlife so i can't really say for sure...

This is a nice experiment. I'd like to do but the species of chameleon that lives in my country is not the one that has a good capability on changing it's skin color. This one only cble to change from yellow, brown, green, that's all

COLOURFirst we can't say! ( as we r not Chameleones
But depends; it can change its colour according to environment; but why to change colour when it is alone or in a group of males? WHy it will spend its energy on such things when there is no need?
Please don't rate this
Assuming that light is always present and equally disributed.Nothing else like lenses is present. As the environment of the chameleon will be alike in color with it - one can say that it will not change color. But if the chamelion is able to distinguish and identifiable the individuals of same sex around it[ its own mirror images] , it might change its color!!! If it is a male seeing a male-image of comparable ability , it'll try to have a match ,which will never end because both tyhe omage and real will behave in same manner... it might end in death of the chame. If the imagemale is smaller the war will definitely be continued and if the imagemale is larger the war might end. But if the mirrors are so arranged to have no identifiable images it will not change color or change color due to stimulating views produced. Story of chame in the stimulator! - seeing the stimulating view its frightened initially - then as is used to stand still for defence it becomes motionless. So, the stimulating view becomes stable ... then the chame gets quite stable too... and then as it moves slightly to run away, the view in the mirrors change so it again becomes motionless ... I think it will soon get tired of such a periodfuls of tension. Hehe Shrei
Greeny ChameleonThere r many constraints -
1) What is the light arrangement? 2) Is its season is going on or not? 3) Is it a male or female? 4) What it does to show its power ; in the sense; its sexual urge or something like that? 5) Which mirrors u r using? means r they parallel or inclined? B'coz it will disturb the image! So conclusion is CONFUSED CHAMELEON IN THE HANDS OF MAD SCIENTIST
