Crazy Question for Mid-term...Please Help!!!So, I have this Biology class that is based on the human body and the mid term is in 2 days...Well I was studying (mult. choice study guide) and my professor is evil and super tricky questions that I swear sometimes list 4 right answers with no "all of the above" choice...Well here is a question like that...I need help...Thank you!
Which of the following would increase HDL levels in the body? a. coconut oil b. corn oil c. sunflower oil d. olive oil e. all except a so...In printed lecture notes from the professor it says that ALL unsaturated fats are in oil form and come from plants...Then it says that ALL unsaturated fats increase HDL levels...So wouldnt that make all of them but "e" correct? I'm so confused and frustrated!!!
I think the answer is E becouse coconut and palm oils are saturated and decrease HDL.

Read this:
"Natural coconut oil, by increasing the good HDL cholesterol, may help prevent atherosclerosis and heart disease." Source: MARY ENIG Ph.D. ON THE EFFECTS OF COCONUT OIL ON SERUM CHOLESTEROL LEVELS AND HDLs (http://www.karlloren.com/diet/p89.htm) So? ![]()
umm.....maybe you are right
http://www.mercola.com/2003/sep/13/coconut_oil.htm but my teacher told us when I took nutrion course that coconut and palm oils are the only saturated plants oils. My word is My sowrd
