you are refering to this passage?
"A third type of molecule, the only known organic compound of the element boron that exists in the living world, furanosyl borate diester, is a recently discovered quorum-sensing chemical. This substance, unlike other quorum-sensing chemicals, affects many bacterial species and suggests that it may be possible to find an agent that blocks biofilm formation. With three important leads, the"

Thanx for the info
unbelievable how much is out here!

to all: remember I commented on
vinegar and what sort of organism would be affected?
well so far found two:
1.cyanobacteria (not found in acidic waters
2. Clostridum botulinium (no growth in acid enviroment)
any thoughts on this?

Linn,

Yes, I was referring to the link that C 3 cited this morning.

It tells about Boron as a potential block to Quorum Sensing.

Another poster on a different board mentioned Borates (Boron).

That's 2 opinions for the use of Borates for this problem.

Another article states that there are 3 Amino Acids that block.
I believe the three are Lysine, Laucine and Arginine. I need to
research a bit more on that.

If that is the process that we are dealing with, then we must find
the means of blocking the process. It's a bit over my head but I've
found lots of info today- just need to sort through it again. I'm cross-
eyed.

One thing I did learn that surprised me- there are companies out there
selling the Quorum Sensing technology for various uses. Argiculture for one. You put the spray down that draws the insects that you want.

Makes you wonder, once that concept sinks in. Reminds me of the day
that I learned that they sell nematodes for farmers and others to use on various crops.

Imagine- you can buy nematodes!

Likewise, you can purchase Quorum sensing products.

Thing is, how are these little altered cells managed? IOW, once in a product- say a crop of potatoes or corn- then does the consumer get
the little QS cells in their system? Seems so, doesn't it?

Hope I answered your question- I'm going to mull on this discovery.

Barz,

Thanks for that load of info. Keep me busy for a while.

Linn,

I think you have something with the vinegar. Am using it again. I stopped for a while because was too painful on lesions.
but, when I did, lesions would start to dry up.

Acid, so if we use anything acidic, vinegar, drink it, etc. lemon in water, oranges, I know the pH diets say green apples,
lemons, etc. I love pickled things. So more garlic and vinegar.

yum yum.

Skytroll
then I am a huge pickle cause i use vinegar everyday after my shower
if i stop for even one day I get worse
and if it hurts that means something is there being killed
Like when you use H peroxide on a wound and if there are harmful bacteria it will foam a lot if the wound is "clean" not much reaction.
When I first started to use it it stung so bad I felt like screaming. Now its not bad.
Jill
I buy nematodes all the time
thanx for all the research you are doing
I appreciate it
people like you and the others here are going to help us figure this out.

Let me get everything straight
Because I an not a scientist but have had some classes
you all seem more knowegable with the fancy terms.
But,
this is a micro organism that has been altered by starting with a base of blue-green bacteria FKA blue-green algae which thrives in non-acidic polluted water, that has been united with some sort of flagellate protozoan of the genus Trypanosoma of (I guess the tissue of man kind)
that is a altered with and living with in or on a micro organism most associated with cocci?
Is this translated oK?
just trying to understand

hey
just thought both borates and vinegar= acid
both used to kill mold
we are moldy!
vinegar will be gentle to the skin boric acid the easiest form to attain would burn unless very diluted.

Moldy not good. Time for vinegar anyway.

I think PH has a lot to do with the growth or non growth of this. Tam Tam said something about geographical location.

Lots of fresh water and salt water mixing. Messes up the PH.

Hi all,

Jill kep up the good work. I am gonna call it a night without any typing. Tomorrow I am going to get up and cut and paste everything Tam said and place it into a few pages where things do not repeat and where I have the explanations of things I can not remember that I forgot....If you know what I mean. Then I am going to place down theories that people come up with for a cure, like Jill did.

I do believe that we are making more headway due to Tam then we have ever made before. I just hope it is not a wild goose chase since none of us have PHD's in this. After I do all that I am going to distribute it out to my science buddies and see if they put a net over my head and wisj me away to the funny farm.

This is one hell of a major thread we have here. Bravo to all and thanks to Tam.

Hi Everyone-

PLEASE CHECK OUT THIS WEB SITE -
"COUNCIL FOR RESPONSIBLE GENETICS" I hope that you will all agree that they just might be the ones with enough clout and resources to get the ball rolling for us! They seem to be the watch dogs for the scientic community with some very impressive credentials!!

http://www.gene-watch.org/pages/programs.html

I remember back before this disease (and, YES BARZ, I AGREE - THIS DISEASE S U C K S!!!), I was blissfully ignorant and naive in a lot of areas, namely- I never dreamed that we had MAD SCIENTISTS running around creating G d knows what and that they did not have to abide by any laws, least of all MORAL! I also never could have imagined that our own government would be funding these mad scientists!! AND, not in my worst nightmare would I have ever believed that I/we would be suffering from a disease that these evil demons from hell created!!!

I have certainly been re-educated in the last few months, I must say that I have discovered a lot of information that "I WISH I DIDN'T KNOW." I have kinda been going around in circles, trying to learn all of these scientific terms and hoping that I will land on a web site that will provide another piece to the puzzle.

One thing that I learned yesterday that I didn't know, that the University of Texas at Galveston has a new biological testing & research laboratory (LEVEL 3 & 4) - ON GALVESTON ISLAND!!! (They recieved a grant from the US government for $200 million in 2004.) I live in Texas and once lived in Galveston, in 1961 during hurricane Carla. I saw first hand what a direct hit by a category 4 hurricane (and the tornadoes) did to the island. The storm surge alone flooded the whole island and whole neighborhoods were completely destroyed. BUT THEY BUILT THEIR BIO LAB THERE ANYWAY!!!
This last summer there was a major hurricane headed for Galveston but they/we got lucky when it turned north and they didn't get any damaging winds or flooding.

On the above web site, is a 3 page report on ACCIDENTS AND SECURITY BREACHES AT BIOCONTAINMENT LABORATORIES, available in pdf format and can be printed out or emailed. In several of the events, the CDC did not report the accidents!!

Here is an excerpt from an article from the above web site on Biowarfare:

* This is the moment to outlaw all destructive applications of genetic engineering.

We call on the United States to immediately halt all projects designed to genetically modify naturally occurring organisms for military purposes.

Initial Signers:

Francis A. Boyle, Professor of International Law at University of Illinois College of Law.

Jonathan King, PhD, Professor of Molecular Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and director of the Biology Electron Microscope Facility.

Martin Teitel, PhD, President of the Council for Responsible Genetics.

*Several developed countries, including the United States, have initiated projects aimed at genetically engineering pathogenic and other microbes for military purposes. Military-sponsored projects include:
1) developing “superbugs” capable of digesting materials such as plastics, fuel, rubber, and asphalt;
2) developing a strain of anthrax that overcomes the protection provided by vaccines in the name of “defense” against such genetically altered strains.

These projects are being justified under the terms of the Biological Weapons Convention as necessary for “defense.” Far from providing defense, these projects open up the possibility of more dangerous forms of biological warfare against which there is no defense. They also undermine the Convention both because the actual motives for these projects are highly ambiguous (if a country were to withdraw from the Biological Weapons Convention, their projects would have direct offensive applications) and because they will stimulate similar projects elsewhere in the world.

Susan Wright, PhD, Associate Research Scientist at the University of Michigan.

Linn- I remember seeing a report on tv about those wierd animals, several months ago, I think it was south Texas, at that time. My husband said something like "it looks like a coyote with the mange", little did we know,,,,,, The reporter had kind of a "believe it or not" attitude, like it was a joke of some kind!!

Linn, don't stop posting, we need everyones ideas to help figure this out!! I don't post very often, because I don't feel that I am qualifed to be of much help with theories, etc. But I read this thread almost every day and I value everyone's opinion!! I feel that we are all becoming an extended family in a way, we have to stick together!!

Hope we all have a better day tomorrow!!

befour

I apologize for this confusing post and I hope some of it makes sense... This is what happens to me when my brain has "information overload"!!!

good day to all

befour,
thanx for that site I have book marked it for future reading
I cant do much now I am feeling terrible today.

I have to say I am a bit scepticle. It is all a bit hard to believe.
I am open to the possiblility though.
How about this theory:
West Nile virus. How did this get to the US?
well if that can be here, then what else?
Things have been caried on the wind here from Africa. Things besides West NILe.
The biggest problem we are having with this unknown disease is that the medical proffesionals are blowing us off. That is the where the shame is.
You trust the doctors to help. And because its not something common, like scabies they say we are dilusional. Well I think if you look at how many people are reporting the same symptoms who have never met and who also have visible proof it must be mass hysteria. That is just laziness on the part of some of them.
Thank God there are some doctors and biologists who believe us. I dont plan to see a doctor again about this until the CDC recognizes it.
Of all the doctors I have seen, not one even looked at my skin with a magnifying glass.
I cant do this alone, how can I get samples of something I cant even see
without a magnifying glass. This needs to be studied. We need to have a uniform and consistant set of symptoms.
Who among us has the capability to do this? I am game to provide info if any one wants to start A STUDY.
