Never, ever, ever say junk DNA.
People call junk DNA all DNA with unknown function it means all DNA which does not produce protein or has a regulatory function. For example introns, they are segments of DNA from a gene which are transcribed to RNA, then cut out and disappear (They do not code for protein). Thir funcion (If there is one) is unknown yet. Same goes for other DNA with mysterious function, SiRNA was once junk DNA. "When In Danger Or In Doubt Run In Circles Scream And Shout"
