recessive genetic disorder

guys i need help in following questions......please help ASAP.

1) what is recessive genetic disorder?explain.
my guess- genetic disorder are hereditary conditions caused by genes and many genetic disorder are caused by defective genes. most well known diseases are recessive so recessive genetic disorder are the diseases caused by recessive alleles.

any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks

Correct. Recessive genetic disorders are genetic disorders caused by recessive alleles. here we can site deseases like Hemophilia, which is a X-linked and recessive. This particular desease(like other X-linked recessive deseases) occurs almost exclusevily at males, because the homozygote condition of the recessive allele is usually not compatible with life, but the hemizyogote is. However ~0.2% of women do have hemophilia....
