HeLa Cells

Saludos,

Are all cancerous cells from a tumor "immortal"? If some cells from a malignant tumor were to be cultured, would they act the same way the HeLa Cells do or are the HeLa cells unique?

cancer cells are immortal because they don't have telomere shortening.

Cancer cells do not stop dividing. (malignant cancers).
In what ways do HeLa cells differ from other malignant cancers? I mean why do you think they are unique?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost positive that they are famous simply because they were the first cancer cells to be studied and found to be immortal, and still cultured to this day. You can do this with any cancer patient, but where this is science, it's always good to be the first
