Not too sure if this is in the right forum - sorry if it isn't...

What bond does Amylase break when it catalyses the hydrolysis of starch to maltose?

I've put down 'hydrogen bond' but it's a complete guess so any help would be much appreciated :)

i'm guessing it breaks the carbon-carbon covalent bond between amylose and amylopectin

it breaks the (α or β)-1,4-glycosidic bond.
