Structure of bases and nucleotidesHey all
Does anybody know what's the best way to memorize the structures of the bases, nucleosides and nucleotides? Thanks
using them so often can make you memorize (maybe studying them by writing again and again). I dont know any other way.
It matters not how strait the gate
How charged with punishment the scroll I am the Master of my fate I am the Captain of my soul.
Sometimes it helps if can make some kind of anagram out of them in the proper order. Has to be something that means some thing to you though or youwont remember it.
Also have you tried associated learning????.... where you associate what you learning to some common in everyday life.. like numbers can be associated to birthdays and then to particular people. Hope that makes sense, Good Luck..... Sinead True knowledge is...
knowing you dont have ALL the answers!!!!!!!
Well i think you may write them or print them on a paper and put a copy in many places in your house, so that they are in front or your eyes always
that's a nice way you can also do it in Metabolic cycles, classification patterns, and things like these
We are just starting this topic in class, but our instructor has already given us some li'l tricks - if you learn by association like me, they might work for you too.
*C+G are both 'plump' letters and 'go together', since they are plumper, they require 3 bonds between *A+T are both 'slender' letters that 'go together' and only require 2 bonds between them *Deoxyribose is Ribose minus one oxygen just like Decaf coffee is minus the caffeine Are these the kinds of things you meant? If so, let me know and I'll share if we come up with any more in class. I'm sure others must have tricks as well, care to share???
