SEASONAL CHANGES

Postby LaNcE222 » Tue Nov 08, 2005 4:14 pm

Seasonal changes can drastically affect nutritional relationships in an ecosystem. I have some phramids that indicate the different energy relationships in a pond in winter and summer. One goes from( top to bottom) small then big then big then big again. The other goes small big big and small again. Why does this shift happens and why does this have to be a temporary shift? Can anyone please answer this? THANKS A LOT

Temporary because the seasons are temporary. Note the energy changes during winter.

P.S. why is everytime something is called a pyramid, it's actually a triangle? Food pyramid, energy pyramid....

Flat cone! LOL! Or you could call it a cube. it's about as close to triangle as a pyramid

What did you write? I hope you wrote more than just what I posted, my post was just to give you an idea on how to answer it.
