looking for ciz1 specifically affects sensitivity?

Postby mohnish01 » Wed Mar 05, 2014 3:01 pm

through recent studies and experiments conducted by higins et al and published in PNAS, it shows that an alternative form of ciz1 can be a biomarker for lung cancer.my question is that if someone tries to detect ciz1 only will the sensitivity or specificity rise or fall?
I'm sorry I sound a bit "stupid".

if the alternative form is marker, than probably the normal form is not affected by cancer, is it?

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
