Simulated intracellular fluid

Postby aemein21 » Tue Jul 16, 2013 6:08 pm

Hi
I am working on an experiment in which i need to create a solution that resembles the ion concentrations of intracellular fluid. However the anions and cations do not add up so I am kind of stuck. I was wondering if anyone else had experience with simulated intracellular fluid or if anyone had any ideas on how to create a simulated intracellular fluid with appropriate ion concentrations.

It is difficult to simulate intracellular fluid by using chemical reagent. Another way is using NP40 or OG to lysate the cell and collect the cell lysate. Then spin down the proteins and get the intracellular fluid.
