staphylococcus aureus and biofilm formation

I am a master student and staph. Aureus biofilm is my master topic .. And i have a problem that some of my bacteria make biofilm but they are sensitive bacteria at the same time and some of them don't make biofilm but they are resistant bacteria ... And i know that it's supposed that biofilm makes the bacteria more resistant ... I want to know what is the explanation of that ? can anyone interpret my results ? what are factors that make bacteria sensitive or resistant ? ... Could anyone send me a scientific paper says that "staph. Aureus biofilm not the only factor reponsible for resistance to antibiotics " ...

Genetic mutations can cause antibiotic resistance.

A number of factors contribute to antibiotic resistance, genetic mutations can lead to the modification of the target for the antibiotic usually a protein (but not always) therefore making the antibiotic less effective. Other resistance factors include efflux systems that can pump the antibiotic back out of the cell, alternative metabolic pathways etc

Bacteria resistant to antibiotic means it produce some enzyme ( eg. Beta lactamase) or other mechanism against antibiotic. I think normal microflora of gut form biofilm. Biofilm formation isn't a sole factor to confer antibiotic resistance.
