Mitochondrial Research

Postby Raphael123 » Thu Jun 13, 2013 10:16 am

Hey scientific minds! I want to ask a question in hope that someone help me with this problem. Well im doing some work in college about mitochondria and how a specific compound acts inside mitochondria to see if affects mitochondria components like electron chain transport etc... Im stuck in my own ideas and i need some new feedback to see if i can reach a new ideas..
So im asking.. If you guys were to have a specific compound and wanted to study it on mitochondria how would you guys do it? What strategy would you guys take? What about specific proteins?

Thanks ;)

I have not done any mitochondrial studies

1. purify the mitochondria from normal cells check if ETC is going on well by adding succinate
2. divide in to three groups
3. group 1 normal ETC, 2 standard modifier 3 your compound
4. compare the results
