Tissue and Tissue SystemSaludos,
I'm currently reading about the anatomy of plants and they talk about tissues and tissue systems. What exactly is the difference between the two. And why is a tissue system not an organ? Thousand Thanks, Edher
Usually, systems are described as a collection of organs such as the digestive system. In plants organs would be defined as leaves, roots etc...For plants the tissue systems are the dermal, ground and vascular. The dermal and vascular are self explanatory, although the ground tissue sounds a bit generic.
