Does magnification reflect change in area or perimeter?Suppose I have a 1x1 square with a height of 1 and an area of 1. Suppose I magnify it into a 2x2 square with a height of 2 and an area of 4. Would my magnification have been 2x or 4x?
Thanks, but what is 1éx?
This link gave me the answer. Cambridgeincolour is a very good source for info about images and photography. http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutori ... -intro.htm With that picture of the quarter, its perimeter is halved when you roll over: 1:2 or 0.5X magnification , and its perimeter is one-fourth when you roll over: 1:4 or 0.25X magnification It's perimeter (distance).
