can some one tell what rubp stands for ?

some say its riboluse biphosphate
and some say ribulose bisphosphate

bi- and bis- means the same. Bi- is used for smaller ligands, while bis- is for larger ligands.

The sugar should be spelled ribulose. I don't think there is an acceptable alternative (Jack would know for sure, he's a plant phys guy).

actually, I wasn't really correct. The prefix should not be bi-, but di-, thus the first name is wrong.

But my I was told that bi and di mean the same.
Could u please elaborate on this part.I really want this confusion to end once and for all.
