Conversion of drug concentration from in vitro study to miceCan we estimate a dose (mg/kg) to be given to mice from the optimized concentration that elicits an effect in a cell-culture based system (nM)?
For example, if I empirically determined the optimal concentration of reagent ___ for an effect in ___ cell line is 100nM, how do I calculate the dose to be given to mice from it? Converesly, if I know that the optimal nonseverly toxic dose of reagent ___ given to a mouse is 150 mg/kg, how do I calculate an equivalent concentration to be given to ___ cells for viability assays? I plan to perform i.p. injections, although I am not sure if/how that would affect the answer. Thank you for your answers!
