Compare and Contrast Active and Passive Transport?I literally have the worst textbook for this in the world and my teacher isnt any help! Somebody help me?
Re: Compare and Contrast Active and Passive Transport?Wikipedia is pretty good for an introduction to this topic. Chase some hyperlinks.
Re: Compare and Contrast Active and Passive Transport?Nice surprise about this shorter form. Can you tell us what it is you are talking/writing about?
Has any info. about this shorter form been posted before (and i just missed it)? angileena
active transport involves usage of ATP molecules \passive transport does not.
active transport takes place against conc.gradient\it takes place along the gradient. mol. enter through spcl.pore on the cell membrane \mol. enter along with the water flow via endosmosis.
Re: Compare and Contrast Active and Passive Transport? In active transport mollecules or ions move from at the region of lower concentration to the region of higher concentration until concentration becomes equal on both sides. This process require energy(ATP).
In passive transport molecules or ions move at the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration until the concentration becomes equal on the both sides. This process does not require energy. Kumar
