Why Alzheimer's happen? Why Alzheimer's disease happen? I suppose there are many reasons to that. I studied that it is because the lack of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the brain. The other reason is genetic factor. Does this mean there are/is gene(s) that will give rise to Alzheimer's disease in our body cells?
Great thinking, great effort and great spirit produce great work ----- and a great man is born.
Re: Why Alzheimer's happen?well you have the correct reason, as you stated but if the gene(alzheimer's) is passed onto you then you have a 50% chance on getting it :[
Re: Why Alzheimer's happen?I've studied about it, because both of my grand mothers had it. As far as I know, it is not related to just one gene. Some of the factors
are MAPs like Tau proteins, APP (amyloid precursor protein), secretases, APOE 4 and high levels of cholosterol. A scientific man ought to have no wishes, no affections, - a mere heart of stone.

Re: Why Alzheimer's happen?the average onset of parkinsons is 50 and alzheimer is 65. There is a lot of time for research
