i am new to this forum, just have a quick question

why the people living in hilly ares are much fair in color?

What makes you think that is true? What sort of hilly areas? Where?

It may not exactly be hilly areas but generally, the environment has an effect on phenotype development. In this case it is skin color. The general concept is that people in tropical zones are darker than people in temperate zones. Hilly areas have colder climatic conditions, so it favors lighter skin color.

Skin color isn't driven by temperature but by sun exposure. That's why North American Plains natives are darker than South American Rain Forest natives...
