Bug ID help needed

[Stumped]

While shooting a Kudzu infestation in western Tennessee I found this strange bug on a weed. Anyone know what this thing is?

Hi.
We have a similar one here in Europe.
It is a hummingbird Hawk-moth or Hummingmoth.
Looks like, flies as, and feeds the same way as a humming bird, but is a moth.

That's amazing we also have one similar here in AU that is called a hawk moth also!
