Linked genes

Postby clarissatania » Thu May 17, 2012 6:29 am

Please help, i don't understand how to solve this

Known 3 link genes like this

cn vg sm
9,5 24,5

a.Determine the percentage of each gamete produced by hetero-zygote organism
Gamet Persentase (%)
+ + +
cn cg sm
cn + sm
+ cg +
+ + sm
cn cg +
cn + +
+ cg sm

B. If test cross is done to the hetero zygote organisms for the 3 genes, determine the recombinant phenotype from these genes:
Linked genes Recombinant phenotype percentage
cn-vg
vg-sm
cn-sm

C. If cn is in different chromosome, determine the recombinant percentage of vg-sm

Do you know, how is defined centimorgan?
(I guess the numbers are supposed to show "distance" in centimorgans)

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
