Hey, I am struggling to find the answer to this question. Can anyone Help me?

If membrane proteins are integrated into the ER membrane by means of protein translocators, which are themselves membrane proteins, how do the first protein translocators become incorporated into the ER membrane?

I'm not sure if this is the answer, but I know that some proteins can insert into membranes without help (or with the help of cytosolic proteins alone).
