indolecan i confidently detect an e.coli in water just by performing the indole test alone?
The indole test was done ofcourse after the presumptive to complete the test, so what i should do is perform further biochemical test other than indole to identify an e.coli. Is API 20E more realible than IMVIC test?
Re: indolePresumptive? Sorry, I thought you were suggesting unique protocol to identify directly presence of E. coli in water. What is the purpose then? If a one-time experiment, use API.
ah ok, its not practical to use API always,,, its more expensive than the IMVIC but API can give rapid results..thnks sir
Re: indoleYou could do it the old way - smell, colony morphology on EMB and Mac
