how long does a bacteria lives in a waterhow long does a bacteria lives/survives in water under:
1. room temp? 2. inside the fridge 4 deg.
what i mean is, how long will they live in ,well lets say in a bottled water if i store it at room temp and in the fridge? will they multiply?
Some bacteria enter e quiescent state when temperatures drop, and may last very long time. months or years. Although not actively multiplying they are still viable.
Supposedly not that good, but probably better than was thought. They are indicators because they do not survive well, i.e. they are valuable because they are telling you that some fecal contamination entered water recently.
