Hypothesis

Why it is possible to prove a hypothesis false,but not that it is true.Give an ex. of proving hypothesis false?

It's easier to show that an explanation doesn't work than be sure that it's the only correct explanation for an observation, but it's really an oversimplification to say disproof is absolute.
