HPLEASE HELP! How to cite this book for my biology report?

Hi everyone. I'm very confused and have a report due soon but our teacher never went over it in class. I dont know even if to follow APA or MLA format but she told us last time to use the formatting on this website (link below). Still I don't get how to use my book's info. On my school's biology formatting site, it says to put book cited like this below:

"Jones E. and Smith B. 2010. Title. Journal vol. pp. Chapter, Publisher, City, State"

So what I don't get is what is the journal and chapter number supposed to be? I cant find that info anywhere on my book. I've used 3 different chapters from my book so do I have to list all of them (for example: Chapters 3, 5, and 7) for that "chapter" part ..or do I cite the same book 3 times, one for each chapt??

I tried looking up online but got different ways of citing it than what she told us, so I just don't know what to put. Here is my boo kbelow. I hope someone can help me with citing it or at least tell me about the parts I asked before what I am to put. thanks!

I'm sorry I just put all the info above but I dont get how to use this info to cite it like the example above. Also, should I captalize the Microbiology part to and write it exactly as in the title??

If it's a book, you don't need to include a journal title or volume/issue information. The example you listed:

Jones E. and Smith B. 2010. Title. Journal vol. pp. Chapter, Publisher, City, State

is for a peer-reviewed, periodical publication such as Nature or Science. For a chapter from a book, you would use this example from the link you provided:

Chapter in a book
Davis, S. D., K. J. Kolb, and K. P. Barton. 1998. Ecophysiological processes and demographic patterns in the structuring of California chaparral. It is not clear what to do in that case, but if you are citing 3 different chapters of the same book, it would technically be better to cite eacjh of them independantly. If you have in text citation as (author, year) they would be (Bauman, 2011a) (Bauman, 2011b)
Then in your refe section:
Bauman, R. W. 2011a/b/c. Chapter Title. pp# in: MICROBIOLOGY with Diseases By Body System 3rd Edition. Bauman R.W. editor. Benjamin Cummings, SanFrancisco, CA.
